Our Board of Directors

Eshaan Vakil

Eshaan  is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Alliance for Academic Quiz Bowl.  He is a senior at Clark High School, Las Vegas, Nevada.  He is a nationally acclaimed quiz bowl player.  Under his leadership AAQB continues to grow and expand its program in our community. 

Farideh Shamash

​​Farideh is a business entrepreneur and works with Sigma Engineering in Las Vegas. She completed her university education in England, and worked in Information Technology for several years for companies like Warner Brothers. She likes traveling and is a fitness enthusiast.

Tina Petrone

Tina is a long-time Las Vegas resident. She grew up in Taiwan. She has been a supporter of quality education in our community and our state. She loves working with kids and currently works in Clark County School District. Her interests are fitness, music, and reading.

Rucha Pandit

My name is Rucha Pandit and I am thrilled to be a board member for AAQB. I am a senior at Penn State University double majoring in Economics and Spanish with an enhanced minor in Kinesiology. I hope to attend law school next year and specialize in International and Human Rights Law. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at my local animal shelter and going on hikes!
